Groove, Grief, and Gratitude: Foo Fighters’ ‘Under You’
The Foo Fighters have once again knocked on the doors of our eardrums. The Foos are back with their electrifying new single, “Under You.” Listen to the new song below:
The Second Sneak Peek into “But Here We Are”
This dynamite song is the second teaser from the band’s forthcoming album, But Here We Are, a title that oozes a cocktail of nostalgia, resilience, and anticipation. The anticipated album serves as the band’s first musical offering since the heart-wrenching loss of their drummer, the titan of beats, Taylor Hawkins.
A Tribute to Taylor Hawkins
“Under You” is not just a song but an emotional kaleidoscope reflecting the band’s journey through the labyrinth of grief and loss. With lyrics like “there’s no getting over it,” the song is a poignant tribute to the late Hawkins. However, the raw emotion hits harder than my Aunt Edna’s homemade meatloaf.
The album, set to be released on June 2, is drenched in the theme of Hawkins’ death, making it an homage to their fallen comrade. The Foo Fighters perform in Salt Lake City on August 8, 2023, at the USANA Amphitheatre. And be sure to check out the top 5 Foo Fighters songs, as picked by fans.
