Cyndi Lauper Extends Farewell Tour, Adds Final North American Dates
Cyndi Lauper isn’t saying goodbye just yet. The pop icon has announced the final North American leg of her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, tacking on 25 more dates across the U.S. and Canada. Kicking off July 15 in Buffalo, New York, the run includes a stop in Salt Lake City on August 14 before culminating with back-to-back performances at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Rising pop singer-songwriter Jake Wesley Rogers will open the shows.
Lauper launched her farewell tour last October, dazzling audiences across the U.K. and Europe. She’s set to take the stage in Australia and Japan this April, with past performances featuring surprise guest appearances from Chaka Khan, Sam Smith, and Paramore’s Hayley Williams. Meanwhile, the Alison Ellwood-directed documentary Let the Canary Sing—which delves into Lauper’s trailblazing career—premiered last year, offering a deep dive into her legacy.
