From 2018 to 2024, Bruce Springsteen has experienced a prolific period, further cementing his legacy as a powerhouse in the music industry. Notably, in 2018, he concluded his highly acclaimed Springsteen on Broadway run, which started in October 2017. This intimate performance series was extended three times due to its immense popularity and later adapted into a Netflix special and a live album, showcasing Springsteen’s storytelling prowess alongside his musical performances.
In 2019, Springsteen released Western Stars, an album that marked his first studio release in five years. The album received widespread acclaim for its cinematic storytelling and lush orchestration, harking back to the pop sounds of the 1960s and ’70s. Western Stars was also turned into a film co-directed by Springsteen, providing fans with a visual and aural immersion into the themes of the album.
2020 saw the release of Letter to You, an album that featured the E Street Band in full force. Recorded live in his home studio, this album stands out for its raw, energetic sessions and reflective lyrics. It was accompanied by a documentary that offered fans a rare, in-depth look at the recording process, highlighting the enduring chemistry between Springsteen and the E Street Band members.
