Friday 8.14:
6am-9:30pm: Ogden Valley Balloon Festival – there’s balloon rides available, music, food, and be sure to see one of the night launches. Runs through Sunday. Admission is free, rides have a fee.
10am-10pm: Washington County Fair – Hurricane fairgrounds. There’s a parking fee of $3-5.00, admission to the fair is free. Runs through Saturday.
10am-5pm: The Great Salt Lake Truck Show – Thanksgiving Point, Electric Park. Free admission, but raising money for The Kidney Foundation.
10am-10pm: Salt Lake County Fair – Salt Lake Equestrian Park and Events Center. Tickets: $10
11am: Listening To The Distance – Woodbury Art Museum, UVU. Explore art through sight and sound, admission is free.
6pm-9pm: Food Truck Rally – UofU Bountiful Campus and Murray Park. Free admission.
6pm-10pm: Granary Row SLC – music, food, art and vendors in the middle of the street. Free admission.
6pm-10pm: Millcreek Venture Out – block party at Eastwood Elementary in SLC. Food, music and a free showing of “Raiders of the Lost Ark” under the stars.
7pm: Ogden Raptors vs. Billings Mustangs – Lindquist Field. Admission fee: check website.
7pm-10pm: The Leonardo’s Costume Carnival – dress up for $2.00 off! Tickets: $7-9
7pm: Crowdsourced Comedy – family-friendly comedy, The Wall, BYU. Tickets: $5.00

All day: Military Appreciation Day – All Utah State Parks offer free admission to active and retired military, with special activities to honor them.

8am-2pm: Summer Ski Splash and Family Beach Day – Still Water Lake, Syracuse. Free admission and free water skiing and wakeboard lessons.
9am: First Dam Pancake Run – benefits children with Autism. Huge pancake breakfast after the run, prizes and more at First Dam in Logan. Race donation: $25-30
